April 28, 2007 (part 2)

We're finally putting on the roof! Here is Keith carrying a sheet of tin. Ross (ground), Troy, and Mr. Daniel screwing down the tin on the carport. The carport is complete and we're starting on the house.

The porch posts are up! This is a stack of T 111 waiting to go on the ceiling under the carport.Hardiplank is almost complete on the back of the house. All the lads are on the roof and are awaiting the tin.

Mrs. Deanie and I watch as Mr. Daniel, Keith, and dad nail down the porch boards. (Not pictured: Paul Brown who was a HUGE help that day) Here the porch is almost complete. The ends of the boards still need to be trimmed to the proper length and the posts need to be installed (below). porch posts

April 21, 2007 (part 2)

The wiring is complete for now. We have to wait for the roof to be finished before we can install the lights. Poor Mia sustained a construction injury.Don't worry, she has since made a 100% recovery. Here's our front door waiting to be installed (it's upside down).
